Remember Freetown

1930s, South Louisiana: Willie Johnson, a terse trumpet player, is forced to deal with the scrutiny and hardship of being the only dark-skin member of an all creole jazz band, until he arrives at the historic neighborhood of Freetown where he sparks with Lucy, a confident woman who challenges him to chase his heart even if it means abandoning what's familiar to him.
